Green Tea is a natural and pure gift for people.

Previously, the most of teas in Vietnam are green tea. And we actually do not have many kinds of tea. So people often only know tea by the specific name, such as Thai Nguyen tea, lotus tea, jasmine tea, Oolong tea … But recently, Vietnam has new lots of types. Many people misunderstand when evaluating or comparing these types of tea because they do not understand them in different categories. Therefore, We will show you how to classify them so that you are ready to explore the various flavors of the tea world.

Tea processing

Consisting of 5 basic steps:
1. Harvest: including picking buds, leaves and basic processing.
2. Wilt: Wilt and soften the leaves.
3. Tort: breaking up the cells and forming the leaves when finished
4. Oxidation: We will discuss this in more detail below.
5. Dry: shaping and drying.
Not all types of tea go through all these stages. Some types can be taken off a few steps or repeated several times. The most important step is the oxidation process. This is a measure of the type of tea. Oxidation is the process by which enzymes in tea leaves interact with oxygen in the air when the tea leaves break down. It can be used to speed up the process of cutting, milling, rolling … tea leaves.

Tasting green tea

A brewed green tea is typically green, yellow or light brown in color, and its flavor profile can range from vegetal to sweet. If you brew correctly and then the color of tea will be quite light. The right flavor is also mildly astringent and bittersweet. Green tea is generally popular to have lower caffeine than black tea and much lower caffeine content than coffee. However, a specific level of caffeine per cup of the tea is hard to define. Because it will depend on the type of the tea as well as how is was processed and prepared.
