The most popular and easily found Tieguanyin tea on the market today is green Tieguanyin, with a fresh, light flavor and an attractive orchid scent. But in the traditional processing method, the tea will be roasted quite strongly, the tea leaves will turn reddish brown, and have the flavor of roasted seeds. Tra Viet is selling green Tieguanyin.

A simple point to distinguish Tieguanyin tea from Oolong tea is that Tieguanyin tea has no stems but only leaves. (While Oolong tea will include one tea bud, one bud, 2-3 leaves, the stems are very clearly visible).

  • Add 5-8g of tea to the teapot. You can adjust the amount of tea in subsequent brews to choose the most suitable amount of tea.
  • Awakening the tea: Pour water just above the tea, shake well and pour quickly. This action helps the tea leaves to bloom more easily during the brewing process.

  • Steep the tea for about 20-30 seconds, then pour all the tea in the pot into the tea cups. After pouring all the tea in the pot, open the lid to let the tea leaves cool down. When you want to drink the next time, continue to add more water to the pot. You can brew 5-7 times.
