Understanding JASMINE tea

Jasmine Tea – A Timeless Floral Infusion

Vietnamese Jasmine Tea is crafted using ancient Snow Shan tea leaves, naturally scented with fresh jasmine flowers through a traditional multi-step infusion process. This delicate method allows the tea leaves to fully absorb the floral essence, creating a fragrant and health-boosting infusion.

A high-quality Jasmine Tea offers a long-lasting, natural aroma, free from artificial scents. When brewed, it reveals a clear, golden-green liquor with a smooth, mildly astringent taste and a light, refreshing jasmine fragrance — a tea tradition cherished for centuries.

The Flavor of Jasmine Tea

Jasmine tea is highly regarded for its delicate aroma and the perfect balance between floral fragrance and tender tea leaves.

With each sip, you’ll experience a fragrant, full-bodied aroma followed by a gentle astringency. The scent immediately blossoms in your mouth, lingers in your throat, and rises through your nose, creating a truly immersive tea experience.

At first, you may notice a light astringency on the tip of your tongue. However, this quickly gives way to a honey-like sweetness that lingers on the palate, leaving a refreshing and satisfying finish.

How to Brew Jasmine Tea

Since jasmine tea is scented with fresh flowers, the ideal brewing temperature is 80–85°C (176–185°F). Water that is too cool won’t fully release the tea’s aroma and flavor, while boiling water can burn the delicate floral notes and overcook the tea leaves.

Brewing jasmine tea properly ensures a fragrant, flavorful, and healthful cup. Here’s a simple method you can try at home:

  1. Warm the Teapot & Cups: Rinse the teapot and cups with hot water, then discard the water.
  2. Wake Up the Tea:
Add 5-8g of jasmine tea to the teapot.
Pour just enough hot water to cover the tea leaves, then quickly discard this first rinse.
  3. Steep the Tea
Pour 200ml hot water into the teapot again and steep for 20–25 seconds.
Pour the entire infusion into teacups to enjoy.
  4. Enjoy Your Tea: Savor the delicate floral aroma and smooth taste.

Tip: After pouring out all the tea, leave the teapot lid open to let the leaves cool slightly. When you’re ready for another infusion, simply add more hot water.
